This Saturday, April 12, the playoffs of the Counter-Strike 2 tournament in the A1 Gaming League kick off. Eight invited teams and eight that made it through the group stage will battle it out for a prize pool of 30,000 BGN.
The schedule is spread across the two weekends around Easter. On the 12th, the Twitch.tv channel of the league will be opened by a clash between two of the top leaders in the tournament – former stars on the elite scene. The match between BetBoom, led by Boombl4, and BC.Game, led by nexa, will start at 3:00 PM, with a pre-show beginning 30 minutes earlier, featuring top analysis and insights from the players in the A1 Gaming League studio.
Immediately after that match, the stream will continue with a game between the Serbian powerhouse Partizan and FAVBET, a quarterfinalist from the previous edition of the A1 Gaming League.
Unfortunately, on Sunday, April 13, there will be no matches, as Monte and Passion.UA forfeited their matches due to unavailability to fill original VRS core after their roster changes. Therefore, GUN5 and ECSTATIC are awarded default wins and become the first quarterfinalists of the tournament.
After Easter, the round of 16 will resume with even more exciting clashes. On April 26, we’ll see ECLOT vs. OG, as well as a derby between the academy teams of two of the strongest European squads at the moment – Spirit Academy vs. NAVI Junior.
On Sunday, April 27, reigning champion ENCE will face the Balkan team Zero Tenacity. The round of 16 will wrap up with a match between GTZ, making their A1 Gaming League debut, and 9INE.
The A1 Gaming League is held once again with the main support of Samsung, as well as A1, Lenovo, Monster Energy, Hellcase, TP-Link, and Happy Delivery.
The league is organized by Key Events & Communication.
